CitizenM Glasgow
is your spot! (2 nights in Glasgow)
Of
course, this spot is perfect for all kinds of loving couples – on a honeymoon
or not! Upon arrival you'll probably want to shop for a kilt or see the
Science Center!
I’d rent
a car to enjoy being alone and independent!
Or ride
a bicycle (older people rides avail) – take a look!
Lots of
paths – even to Loch Lomand and the Nat’l Park area!
Stirling
Castle history is important for many of us!
On day 3
you’re ready to visit Edinburgh (1.5 hours by train). First,
the Ship on the Shore restaurant opens at noon in time for lunch,
then there are ghoulish goings-on in the ancient city of Edinburgh on this
spine-tingling 1.5-hour tour, and the city’s spirits seem more restless than
ever! Head up to the Royal Mile at dusk and meet the ghost of long-deceased Mr
Clapperton — Edinburgh’s old cemetery director. Explore the cobbled passageways
beneath Edinburgh Castle and hear tall tales from the city’s dark past. Keep
your wits about you and enjoy a light-hearted look back in time through
Edinburgh’s history. You never know who, or what, may leap out from the
shadows...! Don’t miss the Ghost and Gore walking tour, then
eat supper -- The King's Wark is a pub that manages to be a fantastic
restaurant too! The Royal Scots Club is a very romantic spot to overnight!
On day 4,
I’d take the train down the coast to Dundee! (1.5 hour trip) If you play
golf check in to the Drumoig Golf Hotel, if not then enjoy a night at the Premiere
Inn West that is both charming and romantic! ! Besides Golf, you can
enjoy windsailing and kayaking at the Monikie Country Park!
Day 5 -
Just 1 hour 10mins down the coast from Dundee is Aberdeen, by train.
Romantic Norwood Hall features log fires, wooded grounds and is just a
10-minute drive from central Aberdeen. Enjoy the Highland Wildlife Park!
Day 6 and
7 – By train, 2 hours 10 mins from Aberdeen is where Highland Games will take
place at Bught Park on Saturday July 18, 2015 commencing at 11am as part
of the Inverness Gala. Founded in 1822 the Highland Games is one of the most
spectacular traditional gatherings staged in Scotland and is one of the
highlights of any visit to the Highland capital city of Inverness. Besides
the games, don’t miss Cawdor Castle, Urquhart Castle, Glen Ord Distillery and
the Dolphin Cruises. Enjoy your romantic stay at the Loch Ness Country
House!
Prior to
departing on day 8, why not enjoy the Mustard Seed Restaurant that is situated
on the eastern bank of the river Ness, and from the terrace area on the top
floor there are fantastic views out over the river and the city of Inverness?
Hurry! Make res with Train directly, then
